As a kid, this was the very first movie my mom took me to watch in cinema. So, naturally, I went in with high expectations but, nothing could’ve prepared me for what I saw in cinema tonight...
A combination of realistic, emotional roller coasters is probably the best description. Remembering the scenes as a little kid and not fully understanding the meaning behind them is the part that hit me the hardest, and not just me, many others in the cinema as well.
If you are planning on watching Lion King, go in with an open mind, take ‘the kid in you’ with and truly enjoy it. Don’t try and find something faulty or different, just. take. it. in.
It’s a good film, and I honestly take my hat off to all who worked on it, as I sat there, the 1 year old in me was more in the seat than the 24 year old me...
To those who don’t like it, I’m sorry that it disappointed you, I hope in a few years you’ll watch it again and maybe change your view, but to those who did enjoy it, can I pass you another tissue?
