This is a pastiche,chocolate boxy , beautifully filmed but badly cast and an insult to the well loved book. Apart from Jo the sisters' characters were not developed. The sensible, oldest respected Meg was insignificant. The annoying, self opinionated, dissatisfied but beautiful Amy did not look the part. Jo was too good looking and too tall for the part. Marnie looked too glamorous. There was no obvious shortage of money in their household or in the furnishings of their impressive house. Jo's husband should have been a studious, elderly professor, not a beautiful heart throb. I could continue but you know that the 4 friends I went,with all lovers of the March family,were as disappointed as me.
