This is a fantastic movie - mainly because it keeps to the original Shakespeare. The plot explores themes of revenge, of bitterness, of the nature of justice and its distinction from revenge. The dialogue is mainly Shakespeare itself, and it’s fantastically well written. Al Pacino is once more shining with his mastery, and it’s difficult to believe he’s not really Shylock. The movie is rated R, mainly because it displays brothels and nudity, so keep that in mind.

Superb cinematography. Fantastic opening. Great music. Writing could be better. Little to no character development. I think the writers would have done a better job if they kept a little more to the original novel. Some characters have been forced into the script; for example, Lady Fenring’s contribution to the script is so small it could easily have been omitted. Feyd rautha has been reduced to just a brutish vampire. The emperor has so little screen time it’s difficult to see behind his motives and as such, the justification of Paul’s Holy War is non existent. The feared Sardaukar are slain like cockroaches by the Fremen. The entire battle gets so little screen time its difficult to believe it was important at all.

It is an absolute insult to the great trilogy. Don’t waste your time and money.

I've watched this movie 3 times already. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are bewitchingly good, the plot is fast-paced, it's full of colors and great music.

While displaying occasional great visuals, this documentary is not exactly about volcanoes. It is mostly about the people who live in the vicinity and their beliefs.
