I'm really astonished at all the bad reviews. I think it's brilliant, and very clever. A fantastic story about the true spirit of Christmas - a story about flawed humans, kids and adults alike, a story about friendship, faith, loss of innocence and most of all love. Tom Hanks is amazing. The music is terrific too. Hats off to all involved. We watch it every year and it's the start of Christmas in our family.
