I love sci-fi movies in the best way, and appreciate the science. But this movie feels misrepresented by its movie poster and dramatic description. I even found the movie entertaining, but cringe-worthy in its hokey-ness. --- spoilers ahead --- The character backstory was not complimentary at all, and felt like filler. Tell the same story without the personal details, and then actually show something of the first contact with the source... Or the craft... Or... Anything... It was disappointing tbh.
