This book was very intriguing a realistic tale of what most kids on the orphan train were subjected to . I felt it really relates with our foster care system today . Kids are subjected to unknown adults who may or may not have their best interest at heart. Some use the kids to get paid and live off the system. eighteen year olds are left to fend for themselves, which is devastating for them.
