I'll be honest, I don't think I enjoy this film as much as other people, but after seeing so much needless hate over the talk of puberty and 'disobedient kids' I'm deciding to review this. This film is about puberty, yes, and it is specifically about the relationship between a girl and her overprotective mother. She disobeys her mother because she's going through puberty and wants to have a sense of freedom instead of constantly looking for her mother's appreciation. It's aimed at young girls, who normally experience puberty earlier than guys, and it tells them how it's okay to have these feelings. I enjoyed the film despite not exactly being in the correct age group for it, and according to some weirdos online that means I should've found it 'cringe' or 'not relatable enough.' The film is good, it has its moments which I really like, the animation is great per usual, and it most certainly is not 'evil' or 'satanic' just for discussing something all kids have to go through and showing them that it's a totally normal thing. Only downside to me is that I would've enjoyed it more if I was younger, but what can ya do.
