Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a two parts theatre play which we were super excited to see. The special effects were fantastic, we were amused watching Albus, Scorpius and Delphi's transformations, it was a great fun. Part One was so much better than part Two.
It was more dynamic, entertaining and intriguing. The dementors at the end of the part One gave us shivers and we were looking forward to part Two.
We went for lunch to Pizza Express and came back to our seats full of excitement.
But unfortunately the second part was not great then we expected. The relationships between Albus and Scorpius are not very clear, are they best friends or gay couple? I couldn't understand. Love was mentioned and there were hugs and hands were hold but yet in the final act Scorpius was interested in Rose...Please make it clear, I am confused.
In the middle of the second part my 10 year old started yawning and almost felt asleep.
Myself I felt uncomfortable watching the characters arguing and shouting and yelling at each other for a good half an hour and all stage play felt like a Soap Opera in the Wizarding World. All this drama about being bad immature parents blah blah blah, fake sobbing and mood swings made me really sad and I wanted to leave. The script of the second part is horribly written, the characters are acting weird and it's hard to understand what is going on. Especially Delphi, suddenly she appeared to be Voldemort's daughter, brrr! What a stupid idea!
Now I totally understand why Daniel Radcliffe didn't sound positive about returning to his role as Harry Potter in The Cursed Child, this move will definitely ruin his acting career 😂
Would I recommend this show? Probably yes, the special effects were amazing 😂
