I truly don't understand how anyone could NOT get what this show was about from the first episode and the trailers.... It really wasn't that hard to figure it out especially if you are a fan of the comic... sometimes creators don't want the whole plot in one episode..... crazy concept right?!?! Also this very interesting approach was probably thought up after many people said that Marvel should change up their style and not have the action on high alert all the time... Just because something doesn't have action throughout the entire film or television show doesn't make it bland... it makes you bland for needing everything to be outright explained to you instead of looking at context clues...
