Brilliant satire. A reader who loves history and has read Grant's memoirs will instantly grasp Ehrlich's deep mimic of Grant's writing style--spare, clear and often very funny. Critics don't approve of Ehrlich's portrayal of Lincoln as a crude yokel. Lincoln was canny in crafting his public image. Ehrlich captures this too.

Not cute. Not camp. Which is where I thought it was headed. That Liddy's and Hunt's children get the best lines says it all. Obnoxious and juvenile. Lena Headly is wasted. The cars are the most interesting part. And nope. I am not waiting for Nixon and Martha Mitchell to not turn up. I was hoping this would be more like Armando Ianucci of Veep and Death of Stalin. BUMMER
