This is a beautiful film and I applaud it for putting more education out there on how important the biodiversity of kelp forests are.
However, for God's sake man... if you love this octopus so much and she is your friend why let her limb get eaten by a shark while you idly float nearby and film the aweful attack? Then you make us not only watch her poor little dying body (after laying all her eggs) start to be eaten by scavengers while still alive but also see her being taken away by one of the same kind of pajama sharks you let eat one of her limbs. This was needlessly cruel to the viewers. THEN you say it was almost a relief once she died because it was taxing for you to have to go out there every day.
If people like this film and it helps with education then I'm all for it, but honestly I wish I never would have watched it. Too heartbreaking and dude just made me angry.
