YES this movie doesn't handle nuance very well and just seems nonsensical to a point where any reasonable metaphor or analogy falls apart. That being said, this movie was DESPERATELY needed. It is a piece of media that reflects the conflict of interests we see at every level of our society, that highlights the layers of human vice that block all progress. I'm frustrated with the way media commercializes real issues, I'm angry that the systems that were for the people, by the people have become for the rich people by the rich people. And usually these aren't thing covered very often by movies as mainstream as this one. But this one did. This is not a masterpiece, this is not a brilliantly crafted critique of society, but it is an honest albeit exaggerated reaction to the status quo.

I'm halfway through and will update it once I'm done. So far it's a good show that knows how to hit emotional beats pretty well. The only problem I have is at times characters dont act like real people . The ways they handle certain situations and relationships too makes me wonder about certain biases the director may have. But other than certain scenes that I wont get into that leave a cringey or bitter taste in my mouth I'll just say it's good not great . Ok Ive reached episode 8 and im thoroughly annoyed. Why cant they find ways to move the plot that doesnt involve random contrived events. I mean I guess life IS in a way just a series of events outside of your control. But it's a pet peeve of mine when its not the character decisions that evolve the plot but some random chance events. Still a 4 star out of 5 i guess because my personal preferences dont make the show anyless good?
