I found Welcome to Marwen to be a bit underwhelming. I had such great hopes for it after reading about this true story and knowing and admiring the key actors involved. Although very impressed with Steve Carell's portrayal of traumatized Mark, I found this film focused too much on his fantasy world, that it at times distracted from the key plot of how he attempted to work through his personal real life demons. It dragged at times as well. There were parts I really enjoyed, but overall it left a main plot and characters underdeveloped.
