I am a huge Mortal Kombat fan and I was waiting for this movie for months. This movie is good but it has room for improvement. The plot explains to us the premise of the story and the characters are well written and they react appropriately to their surroundings and all the bizarre things that they encounter in their way. The performances are spectacular. In this movie, the main highlight apart from the gore is the incredible performance of the actors. Josh Lawson's Kano is a show stealer and makes the audience smile whenever he is on screen. His comedic timing is precise and does not feel forced. Sub Zero played by Joe Talsim is also spectacular. He is so menacing and Joe Talsim's performance just makes the movie experience so much better. Scorpion is without a doubt my favourite MK character of all time and Hiroyuki Sanada as the vengeful spectre is just perfect. Hiroyuki Sanada's energetic and powerful performance escalates the character to a whole new level. Despite being only 1 hour 40 minutes long the movie does not feel rushed and the decision to make the movie R- rated was the right call. The gore, the brutality, the emotions all made the audience emotionally connected with the characters. The movie also has many easter eggs only hardcore fans of the game can notice including the classic Fatalities of iconic characters. Overall I loved this movie and I recommend you watch it. Can't wait for the sequel
