Was always going to love this due to the soundtrack. Only thing that bothers me is there is something jarring about watching pampered, goodlooking millennial, gen z actors trying to portray a period of history that's grittier and so far removed from anything they've ever experienced. It's not believable.

Not just an holocaust film. An allegory for our western way of life. Mindless complicity. Cold detachment. Little meaningful regard for the consequences of our lifestyles other than that of our own comfort.

Enjoyable. Definitely a gateway to the book. The film felt heavily influenced by Adam Curtis but without any of the depth, nuance or clever use of imagery that Adam Curtis' films contain.

A series that should have been very compelling but ruined by the feminist slant taken by the female director. It ends up being a watered down generalisation with no real depth or original insight and contains plenty of contradictions.

It wanted to be Scandinavian and noirish but was more Coronation Street and moreish. Like a bag of Twiglets. You don't like them but you can't stop. The acting and the script were excruciating at times. So too was it's desperation to appear socially inclusive. Not all bad. A good yarn. But ultimately watered down Netflix nonsense.
