Spoiler alert!! To be honest I really enjoyed watching this movie. After your name I kinda had high expectations for the visuals and story line of this movie. For the visuals, it was absolutely stunning just like your name and actually exceeded my expectations. The way the rain was used to express different feeling was amazing. As for the storytelling, I think this movie did not live up to it’s full potential. The part about why he wants to leave home so bad could be expanded more. At the last part of the movie he was sent home after brining hina back and we don’t really get to see what his home is like. This would have added to the longing to see hina again. They could have also expanded more about the yakuza and add to more touching scenes like maybe a kid napping or Hodaka using the gun again?? Overall another great work by makoto shinkai
