This is absolutely the finest series I have ever seen. Yes, the locations were superb, the actors are great and the ensemble perfect. Sir David Suchet is God’s gift to us. He enhances every movement, every word, every movement. His eyes are expressive. He is incredibly handsome and tall enough to command the scenes! Nobody will ever succeed this genius performance!!

This dark movie seemed to me to be about how an off center man could be tortured by the worst of society and driven insane by all the cruelty. Society destroyed and already damaged soul. The acting was incredibly great. Loved it.
