This is not a TV series, this is ART of cinematography and film making that are too often absent in today's films.

Alex Garland has made many quality thrilling and moody films over the course of more than two decades... Yet this one this Civil War might be the most prophetic, realistic and timely film he's ever done regarding the possible future to come of USA, easily dwarfing most other Hollywood productions since House of Cards as irrelevant copium garages.

One of my favourite films to rewatch once in a while over the years... The story gripping, the narrative well scripted, cinematography well executed...I still don't get the low ratings it received everywhere. The only explanation I can assume is that IBBC hire trolls to take care of it too.....

I love Nice and sun and sea and really don't mind seeing social workers living in big houses on the hill with a view and pool stuffs... But devil's in the details and after two episodes this production almost feels like a byproduct of a crew of disoriented hedonists on their group rehab session after a summer of orgies..

A rather loose and mediocre crime/conspiracy mesh up in essence. Carelessly toying around Russian Threat cliche and good old Cold War submarine crisis like a pair of used plastic McGuffin dolls from eBay praying on innocent Anglophone audiences...A waste of Evan’s potential and its biggest achievement so far is half second inclusion of Vladimir in the opening sequence before every episode to make up for the absence of quality visual storytelling... Covid if not Brexit must have really taken a toll on UK creativity industry, even amongst some of your finest, sadly but obviously....

Nolan has been obsessed with “time” over the years, which was fine cos until Tenet his obsession produced some pretty tasty fruits. But with Tenet he is now suffocated by his own obsession and pride.

This series is a gem, a slow burner, it's a reminder of the solid scriptwriting and production execution alongside artistic ambition sometimes seen in earlier SciFi TVs and movies and almost gone missing nowadays thanks to the shifting appetite of younger audience...
I'm glad they get to wrap it up in S3 even though this show with its depth of theatrics and exploration of human conditions really deserves a wider audience especially in our time filled with ever increasing crisis, conflicts and pessimism.

The dreamy texture of this film's sound and visual experience really stood out for me even when viewed on a meagre 50" TV... so much so that my smartwatch's sleep monitor details detected I had several short sleep cycles of during the 156 minutes' viewing... Never thought I'd dream about sands and dunes et al which I always find intimidating whether on pictures or in reality but now I have it and it's brilliantly mesmerizing 🏜️

Great script, great narrative, great cinematography and great performance... Absorbing, intense, complex, humane and transcendental/philosophical. Masterpiece of storytelling!
