Unfortunately this is probably the worst Star Trek series I have ever watched. First of all, the characters are weak. The personalities of the leaders of Discovery do not have the strong presence of leadership that other previous Star Trek leaders have portrayed. The character of Tilly is ridiculous, pretty much afraid of her own shadow becoming a starship leader? Don't even get me started about Gray. WTH does he even bring to the table except boring commentary and a desire of the producers to try to bring in young viewers? Add to all of these issues, we are presented with an enemy that so far you cannot see and presumably has no physical awareness. Just a big void in space. The main draw for viewers of successful Star Trek shows in the past has been the curiosity of space exploration and a tangible enemy that you can see. I have continued to watch the show due to this being really the only show of its kind left to watch, but I am sadly disappointed.
