This was a strangely uncomfortable watch. I wasn't moved in the same was, as say, Saving Private Ryan. I felt the film lingered too long in some areas without adding to the narrative and other areas, such as the whirlwind romance leading to marriage were glossed over, leading to a lack of engagement with the screen characters. There was also a complete lack of suspense throughout, adding to the the feeling the film is overly-long. Overall, the film neither succeeds as a documentary or as a drama.

Omg, Saturday night "entertainment" has managed to plumb a new low. The one positive of this show is that it's forcing me off my lazy backside - down to the pub.
