Let me just say that I have a Joker bias. He’s my favorite comic book villain. But Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of this iconic character is like nothing we’ve seen before. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s a more realistic and grounded take on the Joker, with an Oscar worthy performance from Joaquin Phoenix. This movie is beautifully shot and has an amazing score that evolved with Arthur Fleck as the movie progresses. Every actor in this movie is doing some of their best work. This may be the movie of the year, competing against the likes of Avengers: Endgame. I believe this movie will he talked about for ages to come. This movie has reshaped the comic book movie itself.
