I put this on during a long flight and decided 30 minutes in not to continue watching. I won't give it 1 star, only because I think there is probably a market for the movie among people that like an action figure mash up with the sci-fi stuff. One of my problems was I didn't find the main character/actor at all convincing. I know he is supposed to be suave and supposed to be confident and intelligent, but it didn't come across that way. Actually, it sort of felt like a movie for the masses designed to make them feel like it was intelligent and thought-provoking.

If you go into this movie with no expectations around adaptation, it's an alright horror movie. Reasonably light and reasonably forgettable. Like the kind of King movie I would watched in the 80s. Silver Bullet for example. My criticisms are - 1) not a terrible amount of build up to scares or suspense. It was a bit scary, a bit suspenseful, but that's it. 2) Lewis Pullman I guess is the up and coming son of Bill and again he was fine, but not particularly outstanding or charismatic. And it seemed like he was supposed to be a heartthrob type but I don't see it. 3) The movie moves along but somehow doesn't really develop any depth. Overall, not terrible, just not special.

This is an interesting and thought-provoking movie. It's a psychological thriller that sort of leaves you to think and discuss at the end. The acting is quite good all around. But it can be a bit slow. It should have been edited down to maybe 1:40 or so, and maybe could have made more points.

Great sequel. The representation of emotions as characters is funny and helps kids understand their feelings. Loved the first one too!

I thought that this movie was great! In the movie they had a lot of good songs so I really liked it.

This is a great family movie. Nicely done, good pace and story. We need more like this.

The worst movie I have seen in the past 4 years. The last movie this bad was Pets United with a similarly odd feel. Not the least bit funny, very, very predictable and cliche dialogue, and just really boring. A sort of odd comedic timing as well. Just off.

Willem Dafoe is always watchable, but the movie had its flaws. In terms of themes, I suppose you could take away from it the juxtaposition of extreme wealth and primitive needs, but I also thought it was interesting that he ended up turning to art at one point and became a creator. There were a lot of holes though. Like...don't you have a phone?!? The apt is changing temps and flooding and none checks on it? Etc...

I love it! Great choice for Arnold. It's fun, funny and action-packed. It's also pretty much age appropriate for Arnold.
