**Spoilers Included * As a person born in 1981, I absolutely LOVED Beetlejuice! My cousin and I memorized the entire movie and annoyed the crap out of our parents by saying that dialogue while watching the movie…which was at least weekly (if not more often)! This new movie was such a massive disappointment, and I kinda predicted it wouldn’t be up to par with the original. Heck, if you know anything about the original sequel Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian sounds better than the complete slapped together crap in the new movie! The plot (I question whether or not to call it a plot, because it was all over the) was horrendous! The soul sucking ex of Beetlejuice was seemingly useless as an inclusion in the movie. This truly feels like a table full of writers each contributed a small amount to the movie, but it is in NO way cohesive! I feel like I could have written a better screenplay in 20 minutes alone! I’m so glad that I didn’t pay much to rent it digitally because I would have been so angry spending a large sum of tickets to the theater or paid full price to watch when first released. A bit of advice, if you enjoyed Beetlejuice, PLEASE don’t watch the new one! It’s beyond awful!

I can’t say that I’m a fan of this franchise from the first one due to many plot holes. People can’t be silent a majority of the time. I mean, I’d prefer it be realistic and one of the aliens/monsters killing someone because they were snoring or farted in their sleep! I thought this movie was going to be better than the first two due to the initial setup with a group of people who were living in a Hospice center. It was good…up to a point, a lot of the important parts felt rushed. Plus, please tell me if you’ve ever heard of a cat that makes no noise nor goes insane and mews in water not just once but twice! The end of the movie was forced and contrived. I may be biased though because I haven’t liked any of the Quiet Place movies.

Well, I would have given seasons 1-3 5 stars, season 4 was a bit of a disappointment. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone and I feel anyone who has invested their time in the first 3 seasons would probably give season 4 a lower score than the rest. As mentioned, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, however, don’t expect all of the questions to be answered. Most of your questions will be left unanswered and plot points pulled from nowhere, while new questions will arise and not get a satisfying answer. Overall, I love the characters and the show but the last season is lacking.

All I can say is the people who are giving the film 5 stars and berating the people who are giving it a 1 star are just pretentious. The film is pretentious and those who praise it and claim to remotely understand it, don’t understand it themselves! I get metaphors and plot devices, etc. but this was just not a good movie, in my opinion. And no, I’m not one of those people who think that Adam Sandler can only act in slapstick comedies, I can appreciate his dramatic or more serious roles. The film was just a waste of time and next time I will pick our movie because my husband is now banned from choosing our movies!

I really enjoyed this film! The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars was because of some of the main characters stupid decisions…even after being warned about the dangers they could face! The acting was pretty good, the shock value was definitely there, and overall worth watching! I know some people will overlook it because it’s an Argentinian movie, but for those of you who don’t mind subtitles, give it a watch!

One of my favorite movies from the 1999/new millennium era. The fact it’s categorized as a “Comedy/Romance” is a bit off, though. I think it’s a comedy but not a romance. It’s definitely a quirky movie and maybe I’m a bit biased because I graduated from high school in 2000. But after rewatching numerous times, I can honestly say that it withstands the Tver recommended this movie to many people and haven’t been told by anyone that has watched it that they don’t enjoy it. Give it a watch, you won’t regret it!

This movie was a completely unnecessary entry into the Exorcist franchise. It was supposed to be the first installment in a trilogy. There were several plot lines that went nowhere, boring characters, and just not scary at all. I definitely won’t be rewatching this film and regret the time I wasted watching it because it’s truly that forgettable! I’m giving it 2 stars instead of one because it was competently shot.

I wish I could get a refund not only in money wasted, but time wasted as well. I’m SO infuriated after watching this movie and partially angry at myself for wasting nearly $30 to watch this movie at home…and now I own something I NEVER want to watch again! The story had potential but it wasn’t developed, it mostly just wasted time. This is NOT a horror movie, it’s a horrible movie! I’ve been a fan of James Wan and Leigh Wannell for a long time but I feel like their recent films have been utterly disappointing. **Spoiler: I would have NEVER expected a film to be resolved with black paint!!!**
