I knew nothing about this novel/donghua going into it, and all I can say is that I am completely blown away by it. I started off with the donghua, and I was pulled into a world of beauty, thrill, comedy, tragedy, action, and romance that I binged in one day before jumping right into the novel. The settings of the story were gorgeously animated/written and the character designs were just as beautifully animated. The fight scenes left me on the edge of my seat while the scenes where the characters were just simply conversing with each other left me interested in what the characters had to say since the relationships between the characters were so well built and put together. Now, the romance part. I didn't expect a same-sex couple to be in the mix, but I love the genuine connection that XL and HC share, and I love that their relationship doesn't feel forced. The way that these two develop their relationship based on mutual respect and genuine care and worry for each other is genuinely sweet. Every interaction between them is fun to watch/read. Whether it's them exchanging playful banter, HC flirting, or them protecting each other in dangerous situations makes me smile and all the more happy for their happy ending after enduring so much together and apart. If you're unsure of what to read/watch, I say take a step out of your comfort zone and give this donghua/novel a try. You won't regret it!

This was absolutely beautiful. Who knew that one of the best ways to release an album was to turn it into a full on movie!

The people defending this movie are honestly disgusting. I tried watching the movie with an open mind but it was so uncomfortable to watch and they had so many unnecessary shots and scenes of these kids. The amount of child exploitation in this film is honestly gross and the people who support or defend this movie are just as gross.

This is an amazing movie that breaks the stigma against gay people, especially teens. This movie is one of my favorites, and it will always be one of my favorites.

The movie was confusing, boring, and it had the most boring and predictable plot you could imagine. My friends and I had no idea what was going on, and we got super bored . You only saw the alien itself and the aircraft twice in the entire film! I do not recommend you wasting money to watch such a low quality movie.
