Lilly Singh has definitely been an inspiration to people all over the world, especially, the people of color. And I very much respect her for it and really enjoy her talk show. But let’s be honest, I’m proud to be brown and brought up in not so much the “Indian” way to say that Lilly Singh is using her gender, race and sexuality way too much and also generalizes white people, Indians and, sometimes, men. If we cancel out this factor from her show, I think it’s pretty much awesome! I feel like know race/gender should feel excluded or hurt in anyway by watching her show. But also, this is her first time on this kind of a platform, and she’s doing an amazing job. Small things here and there but all in all, it’s a great show.
