The game is charming and pretty and the characters are to die for and the crafting and terraforming are something we’ve never seen in animal crossing and that’s a very nice feature in the sense of getting everything how u like it. But there’s so many limitations that are unnecessary and make the pace of the game so slow that you can very easily get burnt out. The online is extremely slow and painful and you have to go through bubble after bubble just to go to another players island, and if they’re coming to yours you have to wait in a long cutscene which in my opinion makes no sense cause other games do it fine. And the 3ds game before this even had a shorter wait time. The game is great but it’s sloppy and unnecessarily slow. And the choice to have 1 island per a WHOLE switch was frankly a bit scummy and a shameful money grab from Nintendo. I love Nintendo but this is just another game they had to take away convenience for no reason whatsoever.
