I've always been a big fan of the Bad Boys movies however this one just did not do it for me. I wish that Michael Bay would have directed this version because it kind of came across as a knock off version. Martin and Will did their awesome work but unfortunately the other cast members just didn't fit in with the "feel" or "theme" of the Bad Boys brand. The casting director or agent should have chosen better. Also, the story line was a bit far fetched. How would Mike and Marcus (character names) have been so close for years and Mike never told him about his personal time with the witch lady? They were too close...so that just seems like a far fetched plot. Also, some of the action scenes where the director slowed down the motion were badly placed and seemed like a desperate cry to recreate Michael Bay's work. The movie didn't have that gritty, bad boy feel anymore. It seemed more like a family movie that should've been watched on Netflix. Also, how the scenes were edited for the story line just doesn't come across well on screen...I'm curious to know what type of film it was shot on? Also, would have liked to seen returning casts like old comrades Vargas, Reyes, the tall black tech guy with the glasses, and Marcus' sons.
I was definitely very disappointed!
