I feel the grinch is most developed as a character in this version. He still "steals christmas" but you could tell his heart was filled with kindness even before he did it. And the eding with the grinch having dinner with the people from practically every household he stole presents from makes it very satisfying. The original cartoon is always a classic but this version just perfects it.
