I would like to say this first, I have been playing Monster Hunter Since its inception when it was a small community and was a very niche type of game that not many people knew about at least in North America (Monster Hunter Freedom) Initially released for the PSP, Following MHF2, Freedom Unite, Portable 3rd, 4 Ultimate, I have even gone as far as downloading the Japanese only exclusives that were later on renamed/released in the west (Hacked PSP). Yes I have played them all. With the big exception of Monster Hunter World to my big shame, (CAPCOMS BIGGEST SUCCESS THUS FAR). These were the first stepping stones and they created a foundation for the game that it is today by making gradual improvements in each game that have made it the power house it is today. So I believe I have some solid grounds to comment and make a review on for those who might want to take the time to listen to my perspective since I have spent countless hours on these games more than I can remember to be honest. I have to say I never played World like I mentioned before, but I played almost every title before World. And this game its just a completely different animal that has evolved and surpassed every obstacle and limits that have been present in the past. The game is truly a work of art to say the least. The Online multiplayer experience is very solid and extremely accessible it has improved almost 10 fold from past games where there were connectivity issues all the time, poor inaccessibility to play the game with other people you had to be next to someone to play the game (ADHOC) or purchase a device and plug in your computer to the PSP in order to be able to find a lobby of hunters mostly in other countries scattered around the Globe mainly JAPAN. it was expected for the game to evolve and have significant improvements over time in the whole multiplayer experience but I have to say coming from past games I am nonetheless impressed.
The Graphics Wow just clean, They are not up to World Standards but they are very solid nonetheless specially for a Nintendo Platform. They are not meant to be PC graphics guys FFS its a Nintendo Switch and even for the Switch it blows graphics expectative away through the roof. If you want that level of detail go play world.
THE THRILL OF THE HUNT: What can I say There is nothing better than getting together with your friends/pals to hunt down a challenging monster that will give you a run for your money and then being able to upgrade your weapons/armor as you make progress through the game and fight more challenging monsters, Currently a HR 7 and I will say this it has not been extremely difficult to progress through the game for me at least but that might be because I am pretty seasoned with past games and know what I'm doing most of the time so it might be more difficult for a new player that is not very familiar with the game learning curve mechanics/knowledge.
In Game Biomes: Beautifully Designed, I do have one complaint though and that is the removal of environmental effects such as having to drink a cold drink or a hot drink in order for your health to stay up to par with the environment that you are in. Also the removal of the measures to track a monster.
I Definitely expect Capcom to add more exciting content, challenging monsters and put up the difficulty on many monsters to come as they are progressively added with DLC and Free content so there is room for Challenge trust me it will be coming.
Game is a 10/10 in my opinion everything about this game has been masterfully done I could go on and on but I think I have said enough.
