For the people that were actually fascinated by the core storyline. This book feels like a slap in the face. Could've easily been part of War Storm. And it makes me so mad because I actually loved the saga. Books 1-3 are the pinnacle of Victoria. 4 was dicent but it felt like the author was replaced in some points. It really felt like someone else's story. Book 5 is the death of the series. Sad the the only parts of the book that mattered were at the very end. Yes finally Cal has Mare but did we really get closure? I don't feel like we did. Felt like a money grab to me.

I remember back in 2017 when she announced that this book was coming out I was beyond excited. Pre-ordered it and had it sitting on my shelf because I was saw a couple of people that weren't happy with it. Why? Now I see why. There was no closure. If we just continue the story from the first 3 we could say this could easily had been the last book. Mare and Cal get there ending. Eve and Elane. Victoria had all the possibilities to give us something worthy of the series. But no, she took the greedy approach. Had to precrastinate and make another book for sales. I can easily say the first 3 books in the series were written by someone else because a lot a characters in the book felt like fillers. Like she up and left and someone else decided that it would be cool to have Iris talking so much. Lacks the charm of the Red Queen series.

I have to say I never saw the movies as a teenager given that my family was very conservative and well Church had some weird conceptions about the movie. I'm giving this a 5/5 but hear me out. This isn't a perfect movie. And less if you're looking for something attractive to a public that isn't young and mostly attracted to men. As I grew and understood the importance of movies like this. I became aware that every movie done for a female audience tends to be frowned upon and disgarded as something trashy, without a plot and not good. The acting is horrible don't get me wrong. But the movie and the drama involved you to a point where (if you're just here to enjoy the moment) you will love parts of it and crige in others. Building my opinion as a adult now for the movie I actually like it. Sucks that social norms always ruin our childhoods.

The real question is, why have I never heard of this movie before? Lost and delirious tells the story from the POV of a new kid in an all girls boarding school. She moves into a room where two girls already live and are really "acquainted" with each other. The thing about the movie that separates it from the rest is the fact that there is no censorship of their love story. It's a closet love but it feels true and the teenage angst are palpable. No, there is never good ending in lesbian movies. It's something that you get accustomed to. But the overall love story is truly worth the time.
