Admitting you liked this game is admitting you're at the minimum, a Nazi sympathizer whose moral integrity can be bought for seventy dollars. Absolutely disgusting.

I'll simply say that The Boys is probably a perfectly fine show and story. I just happen to hate everything it stands for. I watched the majority of the first season and just. I don't agree with such a nihilistic take on superheroes and humanity as a whole. The creator hates superheros as a concept and this is just his hate message for it, whatever.

I love hanna barbera, blue falcon, and scooby doo with my whole heart. But some of y’all expected way too much out of a movie with a DAB in its trailer. It’s a comedy movie with some heartwarming scenes and okay action. It’s dated on purpose and ultimately is very self aware of how it all looks and actively subverts expectations. If you understand that, you’ll enjoy the movie. If you want a deep story about superheroes and strong mystery, you’ll probably hate it.

Loved this movie when I was a kid, decided to watch it again as an adult and see how well it holds up and was pleasantly surprised. It not only holds up, but is better than I remember it. It's just...a genuinely good movie? While its rated PG, a lot of the jokes and more subtle situational humor will go over a younger audiences head.

More accurate to the Doom games then the 2005 movie with about a quarter of the budget. It can be generic sci-fi action horror at times, but contains plenty of references and accuracies that fans of the game will appreciate. What the budget doesn't put into practical effects it places into scenery. It plays out as a sort of prequel to the events of the games, following our main lead Joan (who is meant to resemble the doom marine.) and her team's assignment to phobos.

You have to first accept that you're watching a movies about nazis on the moon. Then you get to appreciate the ridiculousness and sometimes interestingly satirical takes on American action movies.

From a technical standpoint. It's rough around the edges ( controls are wonky at times, mismapped collisions, textures occassionally don't load, etc. ). That being said, the detective gameplay and story are compelling enough to stick with it and the amount of freedom it gives you lends to a sense of genuine accomplishment. Also, you get to beat the tar out of the KKK, which is a definite win.
