Absolute drivel! I'm a sucker for a period drama, Empress, Lidia Poët etc so watched the first episode, hoping it might get better, but no... much worse! 😆 In fairness the costumes and scenery were lovely but the script and premise is just awful. The random, escalating sex acts are so awful, obviously thrown in to keep some people watching?

As a dog, specifically a Golden Retriever, owner I was a sucker for this film. I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t give a human voice to their dog so Kevin Costner’s voice of Enzo was rich and heartwarming. The story is beautifully told and acted by the entire cast. Milo is perfectly cast as a dedicated husband, father and best friend to Enzo. Not overly sugary but typically emotional and I was blubbing my heart out at the end (and at times throughout!) which I count as a good thing for this type of movie.
