Just because of the expectations and the emotional manipulation done to force the players to like Abby (like Ellie killing dogs while Abby petting them, that’s just in your face) I score it the lowest possible.
The gameplay means little if I’m actually bothered the whole time by a storyline that drips manipulation all over the place, and the critics are absolutely dishonest in pretending to not see what almost half of the player base is pointing out. It’s as almost as if they aren’t able to be honest about it, or if they are, they shouldn’t be in that position because they are absolutely biased in one direction.
Because of the blatant dishonesty of all the official reviewers, that for sure had no contact with the creators/producers, nor personal interest in providing the reviews that favour the product, it’s up to the players to show their displeasure with the direction story telling is going.
If the first installment had everyone on board, and this one has half of the community showing obvious disapproval, the difference cannot be ignored.
Of course they’ll call everyone they disagree with bigots, that’s what you do when you have no argument. But the normies will simply understand that while the first title was liked by everyone, the second one was detested by half of the player base. And anyone who isn’t straight right narcissist may want to take a real look at where they failed
