Heart wrenching movie that was hard to watch at times. Beautifully made with the parallel scenes between Lilli and Hagen showing their life experiences especially Hagen going through such cruel treatment by humans with him getting retribution. The final scene is filmed with such eloquence and provides a sense of salvation for Lilli and Hagen.
