We found the structure of the film very effective, with the sometimes subtle differences in perception of events insightful. You can interpret the veracity of each characters own story yourself, although I was most convinced by the 3rd and final viewpoint by Marguerite. A glimpse into the world of the 14th century where women were literally a man's property and the male characters totally entitled. The duel itself was one of the best, if graphic, viewings of the bloody slogging of hand to hand combat I've ever seen on film.
