From a scanned copy of the original, I find that the declined name "Memphremagog" in Abenaki, the name of a cross border lake between VT and Quebec, has the same meaning as the Ogam deciphered by Dr. Barry Fell of Harvard on some rocks to the west of that lake near a portage to the Missisquoi river which empties into Lake Champlain. From that lake one can travel by water to the Connecticut river and Long Island Sound with one short portage from Island Pond to the Nulhegan. Also one can travel by water all the way to Europe via the Magog, St Francis,
St Lawrence rivers and Atlantic ocean.
