James Cunningham

I am usually not a big fan of Clint Eastwood and his minimalist style of directing. Many of his films are flat and lack pacing and great editing. But Richard Jewell is a film that I really enjoyed. Eastwood handled the subject matter with ease and style. There were also, in my opinion, at least three actors who deserve Oscar nominations for this film. This was the best movie I watched this year (and I watch a lot of movies). A nice change from computerized special effects and goofy creatures. This is a film with some great performances and an interesting subject matter.
