I absolutely LOVED THIS! This is the type of thriller that just doesn't scare you. It makes you think, The acting is amazing, Anthony Hopkins did an AMAZING JOB playing Hannibal. This movie isn't like normal horror and/or thriller movies. It just makes you feel uncomfortable. There as much gore, but there's enough. I recommend watching this, just don't watch The sequel "Hannibal". It's not as good as this.

I liked it. I wasn't hooked to it as much as I thought I would be. However! It is a good movie. The thing that got me was the Ugly demon thing. It was horrific, terrifying, just not it. The movie wasn't as scary as I expected though. A few jump scares? I guess? Overall I think the actors did an amazing job. I just wish it was scarier

The first scene, no joke no scam, are 4 people being hung on a tree. It's not scary at all. Well, I guess the right word is Disturbing. Watching the first time I felt like my throat was being slit as well. It had a huge plot twist. It's not really something to watch if your don't like gore. Most horror movies don't really show when people die or get hurt badly, but sinister is just, WOW. I just HITS YOU. Sinister is not afraid to show people being burned in a car or freezing to death or drowning or RUNNING PEOPLE OVER WITH A LAWN MOWER! This movie is all beyond just dark. Watching this I remembered when I was in 5th grade and IT(2017) came out and how everyone in the class was saying it was "so scary" or "the scariest movie ever" And I, the 10-year-old who already watched both movies started laughing because I knew IT HAD BARELY ANY GORE. NO HANGING PEOPLE! I really enjoyed "Sinister". After watching it, I LONGED for a second movie since the ending in the first movie had me confused. Then the second movie came out.. And I was disappointed. IT WASNT EVEN THE SAME CHARACTERS! The different plot was just... nO. They had different Actors too. It just sucked. Anyway, Don't watch this as a kid like I did and kids, listen to your parents, if they say you can't this, well just don't, you will not sleep at night.

Just the way this is WRITTEN AMAZES ME! I cried every now and then. It's well narrated and the animation is so good. It's no as bloody as most war movies are, which make it Child Friendly. this movie gives an insight into the impact it had on those living and Japan.

I cried at the end. It's not like other movies when the end, the male and female protagonists fall in love and get married. Even though it hits some adult subjects like suicide, I feel like you could let your 10-year-old watch this. I guess it would give them an understanding of what people do through and how to deal with a deaf person (Maybe even a loved one 🤷🏻‍♀️). They can learn to help those who struggle with mental health issues.
