Well, I didn't expect to experience what happened to me after I watched the movie and not once, but multiple times. Then I had to read the book to fill in the gaps to the story. Then I had to read the book again, then I had to buy both, it's strange.
I have never in my life been impacted by a movie before like this in any genre.
The only things I can pin it to is looking back on my life and my experiences with people I have met and how the movie pulled up those past experiences. Most likely the biggest impact was at the end when 1 Corinthians 13 is cited to the couple. Now I know that most likely people won't be impacted like I was but it was those verses that captured the heart and pulse of the film. Most of all, it caused me to see a different perspective on just how much God loves me and just how much I don't reciprocate love back to Him and it had a devastating and healing impact on me.
But alas, everyone will have a different perspective on the movie in their own way.
I recommend watching the movie and then reading the book or listening to an audiobook.
