Due disclosure: I was a student of Isaiah Berlin, and contributed a chapter to this volume. I rate it five stars for my co-authors' academic excellence and humanist engagement with Sir Isaiah's legacy. Editors Joshua L. Cherniss and Steven B. Smith have done, in my mind, a wonderful job in helping revive current interest in Isaiah Berlin. In the present era of rampant populism and nationalism, with Covid19 plunging the world into further political chaos, this great philosopher is proving indispensable.
