I see the internet is torn here and rightfully so. Let’s face it; this is not Age of Ultron or Sex in the City. This movie is unique like Cloud Atlas. It is thoughtful and well directed. The music is on spot. The acting is in the moment. So why is the movie getting a torn reaction? Well, it’s out of the box, and it does it in a way that is uncharted territory. Tenet or Inception still have the guns blazing, the emotional appeal, and the CGI to back it all up. Bliss is not those movies. Dare I say, Bliss stands alone. So you’re here, reading this review and thinking “should I watch this?”. The answer is simply, yes. The why is because you live in an era of COVID and you probably already have access to this movie for free. So why not? The question is not will you like it because that is up to you. For me I would give this movie a 5/5 because “wow” it’s really something else. I hope this review finds you well, and wherever you are just know that I love you, yet I don’t know you. For the most part this movie lives up to the expectation of what we’ve come to know as Marvel movies. Ignore the online chatter about politicizing our movies. Go because you’re looking to continue living in this amazing world that Stan Lee has created for us! We can share in his vision of amazing story telling, and take from it what you deem as importance. I would not personally give this one the rewatch factor that the Avengers, Black Panther or Civil War gives you. However, I would rate it as a movie worth seeing in the movie theater especially before End Game is brought to us. Of course, there is always one or two things in every movie that is going to bother some of us. For this film it really was the addition of the cat for me, but it by no means ruined the film. This is worth the watch, and I hope you enjoy it as I would give it a solid B+ or 8/10 rating.
