I grew up loving Judy Garland having no idea how about all the negative aspects of her life. Quite frankly, I was better off not knowing everything. Yes, the abuse from MGM needed to be exposed and all of the acting was amazing, but I feel that the movie did not serve Judy well. It seemed to focus more on the horrors of her life and painted a not so flattering picture of her. If this movie was for people to get to know this famous actress, I can't see how it was beneficial. I would never want a movie like this to portray my mother. I don't blame Judy's daughter's for refusing to see it. I would like to believe the intentions were good, but it was a turn off for me.
