It was not at all what I expected. Extremely disappointing. The movie was in uneven vignettes. A lot of AI was used on Tom Hanks and Robyn Wright. I couldn’t wait for this boring movie to be over.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I thought they should have focused more on their experience in Nazi Germany.

While I appreciate Bradley Coopers performance as Leonard Bernstein, he really captured the essence of the Maestro. I thought the dialogue was lack luster and the movie itself was uneven and its flow awkward. I was anxious for the end. I also felt that I wreaked of cigarette smoke as I left the movie theater.

My hubby and I enjoyed it because it brought back fond memories of Italy. And I loved seeing a mature Giancarlo Gianinni. The ladies bring a good message about aging gracefully and encouraging new adventures.

I thought Jennifer Hudson was superb. I thought the storyline was good and gave a dimension to her pain that I did not know about. It provided insight to her faith and the influence of her father and her mother. Other than being too long. Jennifer Hudson’s performance is definitely Oscar worthy.m
