I watched this movie for the first time since i was a child. It's slow by action movie standards today, but the slow points really make the action beats stand out. Rambo and the sheriff are both sympathetic and I found myself seeing both points of view. not all of the sequels hold up, but I think this one will hold up for quite a while.
