The quality and awe inspiring scenes in this movie will leave you speechless. Then you remember that all this ACTUALLY happened and what you are watching is real. You see a lot of normal people, engineers, technicians, operators, and the American public along with these amazing astronauts all come together to achieve the impossible. I was not alive to see this happen, but my father was. Watching this makes you feel like you were there, absolutely incredible. The accomplishment here makes other films look stale by comparison. The greatest practical effect in film history, the launching of the Saturn V rocket in capture is such stunning quality, the orbit around the moon, the landing, redocking and finally coming home through the atmosphere. This was an absolute treat to watch and was put together in such a way that you can easily keep up with the incredibly complex calculations and maneuvers while still keeping you on the edge of your seat despite knowing how it ends. This is a film EVERYONE should watch. I really hope this inspires the next generation to reach for space once more. We need to get back to the moon.
