This movie is hauntingly horrific;
Not just because of the tragedies that are bestowed upon Arthur Fleck on his journy of self search, but because of the unavoidable dissonance in the viewer's opinion and attitude towards the deeply disturbed man that eventually find in himself the joker.
This movie is hard to watch. It includes many cringeful scenes where the viewer moves uneasily on his seat saddened, horrified, angry, and dissapointed, just as the joker undoubtedly feels.
Amazing writing, excellent casting, Perfect acting.
Dark, funny, sad, tense and horrifying every step of the way.
This is definitely not for everyone, but for those of you who like psychological thrillers - this is now one of my all time favorites.
