I enjoyed the show for the longest time but watching the episodes again, I couldn’t ignore the racist jokes. Shawn calling Gus “Django Unchained”, white characters telling Gus to stop using that “almond cocoa butter stuff” because it makes him seem like a jerk. People keep saying it was a different time but it really wasn’t so long ago that this kind of insensitivity could have gone unnoticed.
