A Review of the 2015 version of The War Room Directed by Alex Kendrick
I happened on The War Room while searching for a movie to watch with my daughter during dinner. I don’t normally write movie reviews, but I felt compelled to tell audiences about this one. This film is the most powerful, compelling, and inspiring movie I have ever seen. It is a film for application in the lives of all who view it, an invitation to know God and to improve every aspect of life within the family unit and beyond. It will take boldness of heart, resolution and a strong desire to follow through, but this is the only challenge to mankind worthy of our time and our energy.
DISCLAIMER: If you’re looking for information about the content, the actors/actresses, etc..., then you need to either find a different review, or just watch the movie. I highly recommend the latter option.
On the other hand, if you are searching for that elusive thing that is missing from your heart, or you’re longing for a closer relationship with your heavenly Father, or both..., you’ve come to the right review. This film is nothing short of a set of blueprints of the heart, guiding viewers through the “how to” and “how not to” connect to the power, the grace and the wisdom of God.
If your relationships are plagued or uncomfortable, watch the film. If your finances are under attack, watch the film. If your health is less than you hoped it would be, watch the film. If you don’t know how to pray or why people talk so much about God, please watch the film, and take notes. You will learn how to cast out evil spirits, how to fight for your relationships, how to focus in prayer and keep track of the prayers God answered. You will learn every tiny step you can take day by day to move closer to God. The Good News is well outlined for you in this compelling and heart felt film. But, be warned, Christians are warriors and you will fight a thousand difficult moral battles as you grow nearer to Christ-likeness. Know that, you will have God and His thousands of angels fighting all of those battles before you as long as you follow His way. This is not to say that nothing bad will ever happen to you. It only says that as those troubles come, you can glorify God for the glorious work He is doing and you can not understand.
Happy viewing to you all. Now, get out there and learn how to fight the spirits and principalities that want to kill, steal, and destroy every good and miraculous thing the Father has given you.
