My first album of Osibisa and one of their best. I was raised listening to Osibisa, besides lot of other artists/bands. But Osibisa holds a very special place in my heart and our entire family loves it. You can call it our non-official Family Band 😀. We have their first seven albums on LP/Vinyl (their quintessential); Osibisa (selftitled debut album), Woyaya, Heads, Happy Children, Osibirock, Welcome Home and Ojah Awake.
Every album is distinct with it's own flavour, but maintaining the energy, beauty, earthiness and happiness quotient so synonymous with Osibisa.
Happy Children is an album just like the title suggests, an album that spreads happiness with funky, energetic
jazz-rock tracks like Happy Children, We want to know (Mo), to traditional Afro flavoured tracks Adwao and Bassa Bassa. While Kotokou is a short yet flavorful instrumental gem, that's so calming, it gives you the feel of beautiful rural Africa.
Happy listening and if you really like this album, I'm sure you'll want to collect their remaining albums too. 😅👍👍👍👍👍
