There’s a genuinely compelling drama buried within Fortitude, but it takes the patience of a saint to uncover it.
Season 1 is ambitious and atmospheric, yet punishingly drawn-out — a strong series stretched to many times its natural length. The show also dwells excessively on scenes of violence, which dulls rather than deepens its impact.
By the end, any emotional investment had long evaporated. I wasn’t wondering what would happen next — I just wanted out of Fortitude. 🤷🏼♂️

They could have made this movie twice as good by spending the other 50 bucks on the script!
Amazing effects though. What a movie this might have been.

TV makers seem to have forgotten how to begin a story.
These days, everything’s about grabbing attention in the first ten minutes — at the expense of narrative flow, pacing, and character development.
The Last Frontier is just the latest offender: it throws you straight into a chaotic action scene, then spends the rest of Episode 1 frantically trying to explain what on earth is going on. The result? A mess of rambling exposition and cardboard backstories for characters you don’t yet care about.
Skip it.
(Btw we have all seen Con Air)
I love Denzel. I did not love this 😕 A weird film. It kept looking like it would be epic … but it kept not being. 🤷🏼♂️
I can’t give Denzel one star.

Thom Yorke lured me in. Had the makings of something good but the story is daft and it flatlines badly after the first two episodes. I made it all the way to episode 8 - more fool me. 😆

Not even wonderful Tom could save this flatlining nonsense. However, if you like bullets …

This is one of the most ridiculous movies I have seen. The premise is so absurd that I didn’t stick around to see the amazing acting and direction.
It is true that DH2 also had actors in it.

A confusion of mind bending dullness, stunning visuals, random space pirates, stellar acting, hackneyed father-son narrative, superb soundtrack and ridiculous physics. You may love and hate this film in equal measure.
